- GRIP (Government Relations Internship Program) - 6-8 week summer internship in Washington, DC at either the AMA or one of the Medical Speciality Societies for medical students interested in healthcare policy
- GRAF (Government Relations Advocacy Fellowship) - Paid year-long fellowship at the AMA’s Washington, DC office for medical students interested in taking an active role in organized medicine
- Board of Trustees - a paid year-long appointment for a medical student to serve as one of the 21 voting members who guide the AMA
- AMA Councils - Serve as a student member on one of the AMA’s many councils, including the Council on Legislation (COL)
- Other National Leadership Positions - including the opportunity to serve on the Minority Affairs Section, the Women Physician’s Congress, and the GLBT Advisory Council

- Interim Meeting (Nov. 8-10, 2012 in Honolulu, HI) - The interim meeting includes great networking opportunities, as well as elections for various national leadership positions
- Lobby Day (Feb. 9-11, 2013 in Washington, DC) - Join with 200 medical students to learn about current legislative issues and meet with congressional offices to discuss these issues
- Annual Meeting (June 13-15, 2013 in Chicago, IL) - Held alongside the AMA’s House of Delegates, be a part of healthcare policy making at the AMA’s annual conference
